Description
Multi-Guard® Iron Free is a specialized multivitamin designed to meet the nutritional needs of individuals who are not recommended to take iron and iodine.
The reasons for avoiding iron supplementation range from reduced nutritional needs (e.g., postmenopausal women and men over 50) to individuals who experience gastrointestinal disturbances after taking iron or suffer from iron metabolism disorders (iron overload). Despite the absence of iron and iodine, Multi-Guard® Iron Free is a comprehensive vitamin and trace element formula, providing 22 micronutrients at clinically adequate levels. Among these, particular emphasis has been placed on B vitamins, which contribute to the normal functioning of metabolic processes aimed at energy production, and vitamins C, A, D, and zinc, which contribute to the normal functioning of the immune system*.
In addition, Multi-Guard® Iron Free contains two of the most important carotenoids for human health, lutein and zeaxanthin. Carotenoids are natural pigments with a structure and potency similar to that of vitamin A. Essentially, they are the molecules that give most plant-based foods (fruits and vegetables). Both lutein and zeaxanthin play an important role in eye health*, as they are found in high concentrations in the macula of the retina.
Multi-Guard® Iron Free, like all Lamberts® formulations, is manufactured in the United Kingdom in accordance with strict Pharmaceutical GMP standards.
